Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) has held its Malam Muhibbah on the 13th, 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd of June 2008. (5 nights).

The purpose of holding this event is to commemorate the 24th Anniversary of SGM's Formation, 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of SGM Culture Centre in Cheras and 20th Anniversary of the first visit of Mr.Daisaku Ikeda, President of Soka Gakkai International to Malaysia.
(20th anniversary, same age as me... LOL)

there were 1000 performers and 250 supporting crew members involved.. about 2500 - 3000 spectators attended on each night.. there were about 12 groups performing.. and i was in one of the group.. Dove Dance Group (DDG) dancing Malay dance.. others are gymnastic, brassband, martial arts, orchestra groups, choir groups, creative dance, artistic dance, twirllers, and rainbow junior group....




we have practiced for about 2-3 months.. begins with every saturday from 3pm to 10pm.. and extended to every thursday nites and sat, then for de last 3 weeks before actual day, we had to practice on tuesday nites, thurs, and sat~

tiring?? not really anymore towards the end.. cos its getting more and more interesting and happy i could say.. when we can actually see the steps by steps improvements.. from scoldings to praising from our PICs.. haha..


honestly, when the 1st time i went for the practice for this event.. i felt that this event is gonna be so tough.. tough till i dont think so its my level to go on stage yet.. as i've no basic in malay dance and all.. i dunno whether i could make it anot even though we still have 3 more months for practice stuffs like that.. then, i had to skipped 2 practices due to somethin going on.. so.. when i back to there on the 4th week.. during practicing the opening part.. i was so blur...!!! dunno where's my position, what steps i should dance as everyone will be different from each other.. so scary.. i remembered.. i kena scold by andy yeo.. hmmm... because i dun reli noe the steps and he tot i didnt practice properly last week.. in fact, i din even know that they've changed those steps and put in into formation..

at that point.. guess what was i thinking??

thinking the way how to learn back steps?? catch up with others??

NO~ i was thinking what reason should i give to my PIC to QUIT!!!

OMG... seriously i also dunno why i have such thinking at that time.. its so negative.. sigh..

then, my "driver" - adrian.. haha.. he also misses some steps.. so he asked wei chaw to teach him and also asked me to learn along.. hmmm.. that saved me from quiting.. haha..

and i managed to learn.. not easy at 1st.. from week to week.. ppl saw some improvements in me.. im not that good yet but at least i could catch up those steps..

and.. ya.. as i said, it was more and more interesting and every week.. i was looking forward to go for practice.. clashes with studies, deadlines and final exams.. but.. i still managed to cope.. :)


and now, it ended.. on the last day of performance.. i have mixed feelings.. happy and sad.. (dunno how to use bombastic words la.. haha) happy cos we've created another history.. we've completed our performance with 100% success.. BUT sad.. cos it ended.. even we've performed for 5 nights.. before that was like.. omg, wan me to die meh?? FIVE nights ar? dancing the same thing somemore.. but now.. for me that 5 nights equal to only one night.. ppl said that we must perform every night as if it will be our last! yea, this really proven.. on our last night of performance, it was raining heavily and then later kinda drizzling when we out on the stage.. then, some groups which have instruments with them and kids couldn't out to perform.. so ya, we must dance as if it will be our last one..!

On 28th of June.. it's our Appreciation Night where we will watch our performance.. sharings and some speeches.. in Cheras IPA..

before that we went to watch movie, makan-makan n jalan jalan in 1U.. we watched this..





we had our lunch/teatime at ermm.. i forgot what's the restaurant name edy.. haih..

and we had our special guest with us..
